12”x36”. I painted this after meeting up with my brother for the first time in over a year. Even though I desperately wanted to connect and build a relationship based on trust and reciprocal, safe love, I felt utter disconnection the entire time I was with him. The blue bursts represent his eyes, and the background represents me. I felt like his eyes covered me with his own interpretation of me instead of truly seeing ME.
